Within the mighty fortress keep,

Only stones and riddles there.

Every tick a resource wasted,
Every tock a victory tasted,
By another trapped within,
Closing ways where they have been.
Five the doors that you could enter,
And each one leads to the center.

With every moment passing, vexed,
The labyrinth grows more
Ballad of a Wandering WolfThough once the light caressed my face,
I fell into the dark's embrace;
A place I was alone, a place
Where I was never lonely.

You might not guess I once knew love,
Her heart as gentle as a dove.
But else of her I won't speak of;
I was her shadow only.

Until one day true love she found,
Not faint and timid, but profound;
While I with song and starlight drowned
My suffering affection.

That tranquil night, I stole away
From where my family, sleeping, lay.
But from my grief, to my dismay,
Distance was no protection.

Within her radiant light I'd basked,
But when she of my feelings asked,
I'd turned from her and left them masked

I am in love. The long tail makes it a plausible tattoo for not only the arm (as :iconfirstnamedane: seems to have gotten) but also for a spinal tat.

Possibly have the body start betwixt the shoulder blades and then the tail is free to dance down the spine some.

I was thinking that, too. I'd love to take some of these and play with them in Photoshop to see what they'd look like on people. XD Next time I'm bored, perhaps.
